Martin Fabricius TRIO’s first CD release, When Sharks Bite, was nominated by JazzNyt as one of the 10 best Danish CD’s to be released in 2008. Since then the trio has performed at Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Vinter Jazz, Helsingborg Festival and New Note Festival, Ya-jazz in Cameroun to name a few and is facing a busy 2017 with concerts i Denmark,Sweden, Germany and China. The trio is often featuring guests, such as Swedish alto sax player Tomas Trulsson, Danish guitarist Thomas Maintz, American touch guitarist Chris Lavender, the Finish/American guitarist Neff Irizarry and harmonica player Mathias Heise. The music is written by Martin Fabricius with is support from the Danish Art Council.
The new CD, Out of the White, features Mathias Heise on Harmonica and Neff Irizarry on guitar. It has among other praise received a 5 star review from All About Jazz. Initially the album was self released on Gateway Music, but has now been picked up and released by the German jazz label, Berthold Records.
