Randi Pontoppidan & Martin Fabricius

Randi Pontoppidan & Martin Fabricius (DK)
Singer Randi Pontoppidan and vibraphonist Martin Fabricius meet in a freely improvised universe. Acoustic and electronic sounds merge, creating new magical worlds for both children and adults. The music is created on the spot, rooted in the present moment, the atmosphere, and the audience in attendance—who become an essential part of the music.

Randi Pontoppidan is a singer, improviser, and composer with an international career. She works with loop machines and other electronics. Using her voice, she explores musical landscapes and conjures new sounds—the voice becomes an instrument. From free jazz to contemporary composed music, she has developed a remarkably wide-ranging vocal palette over the years.

Martin Fabricius is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, specializing in film scoring. He plays vibraphone and is a former student of jazz and vibraphone legend Gary Burton. Fabricius has developed his own distinctive sound on the vibraphone and has been described by several critics as a renewer of the instrument. He has released four critically acclaimed albums under his own name and has toured worldwide.
