Danish vibraphonist, Martin Fabricius, established his trio in 2007. Since then they have released 4 critically acclaimed albums, toured Europe, Asia, Africa and the U.S. and become one of the most played jazz groups on Danish National Radio.
Their new album, New World, entails vast landscapes, mystical sceneries, train rides, breathtaking ballads, a time to laugh and a time to cry. It’s a journey into the vivid imagination of Martin Fabricius and his longstanding musical companions, bassist Andreas Markus and drummer Jacob Hatholt. On this tour, polish super drummer, Radek Wosko, will be behind the drums.
A former student of vibraphone legend Gary Burton, Martin has over the years developed his own technique and style of playing, that brings to life the stories and paintings that are at the core of his music. You might be familiar with the sound of the vibraphone through other players, but if you are new to the music of Martin Fabricius, you will hear the instrument played in a new and exciting way. Full of dynamics, expression and magic in each little phrase.
